The Vision for One-Accord Teams

showing the world the power of Christ's commands

One-Accord Power

When believers “were all with one accord in one place,” the power of God came upon them! (See Acts 2:1.) The word for "one accord" in the Greek means to have “the same passion.” This passion must be to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength! (See Matthew 22:37–38.) We cannot do this if we allow other affections to compete with our love for God.

Dads' Conference 2010 in Indianapolis

Nearly 300 dads gathered in Indianapolis from January 28–31, 2010 to learn about the power and potential of one-accord teams!

One-Accord Teams

God releases special power in one-accord teams: “If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them . . . . For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:19–20).

Why Teams of Ten?

The number 10 is extremely significant. Ten righteous men would have caused God to spare the city of Sodom, and Jesus affirmed that mighty works would have brought it to repentance. (See Genesis 18:32 and Matthew 11:23.)

A prayer group at the Conference

Paul′s first admonition is to pray for all those in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life and that all would come to repentance. (See I Timothy 2:1–2 and II Timothy 2:24–25.) On this basis, each team could send a representative to city council meetings and school board meetings and meet with police officials to ask them what urgent needs they would like the team to bring before the Lord in one-accord prayer.

Team Agenda

Each week a one-accord team will learn one of the commands of Christ with such practical clarity that they will be able to easily apply it to their own lives and then go home and teach it to their families. After forty-nine weeks, they will have fulfilled the requirements of Jesus to be His disciples: “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you . . . . So shall ye be my disciples” (John 15:7–8).

Team Coaches

The team coach is a major key to the success of this program. His number-one objective will be to help a family identify and resolve their stresses by meeting with them personally. These stresses will not only hinder the one-accord spirit, but also physical health.

Team Achievements

When a team learns and applies all the commands of Christ and when they resolve the stresses in their lives, marriages, families, and finances, they will be able to demonstrate one of the most powerful truths of our time–the health that comes from God′s way of life. One of the greatest crises of our day is the rampant spread of disease, with resultant skyrocketing health care costs. Yet, the number-one cause of sicknesses and diseases is stress. When we demonstrate the drastic reduction in disease and health care costs, it will be a powerful pattern for nations to follow.

Team Multiplication

Team coaches could assist families to carry out “Honor Banquets” for the spiritually needy of their community. (See Luke 14:12–14.) As each team member learns how to make effective contacts through giving a “perfect” greeting (see Matthew 5:47–48) and other means, he would be ready to organize his own team to go through the program by the end of a year. The results will be in harmony with God′s Word. Our God is a God of multiplication. (See Genesis 1:22.)

An Amazing Response

At the conclusion of the Conference, the dads filled out forms declaring their determination to follow through on this program, and already we are approaching two hundred teams, which is potentially two thousand men!

The following letter is one of many we are now receiving:

“I was blessed beyond words at the Dads′ Conference. I am so excited about the new possibilities with men, especially through the One-Accord Power Teams. I have been praying for a way to have a Godly influence on this culture. The timing was perfect. I am ecstatic!

“I brought two men with me from my church. We have agreed to fast and pray weekly for the ten men who will take this amazing journey!”
