Congratulations to Our First Class of Law School Graduates
November 20, 1999, marked the end of over four years of rigorous study and arduous examinations for the charter class of the Oak Brook College of Law and Government Policy. In addition to receiving juris doctor degrees, they experienced a meaningful time of prayer and commissioning by their professors and their parents.
Raul Gonzales, former Justice of the Texas Supreme Court, was the commencement speaker.
When the ATI
program began, many concerned parents asked, “How will my child
ever get a law degree if he does not go to a traditional college or
law school?” Now 21 students confirm the fact that such an
accomplishment is possible.
Lt. Governor Mary Fallin of Oklahoma was a special guest at the graduation banquet.
The vast majority of the 200 students who have entered
Oak Brook College of
Law and Government Policy
bypassed college by passing CLEP exams and are
supplementing their distance learning with a selection of related studies and
seminars. These related courses give them well-rounded preparation for appealing
to the consciences, not just the minds, of judges and juries when presenting legal
arguments.
The challenge before these graduates is to champion the cause of truth and justice in a day when courts are calling evil, good, and good, evil.
