Commands of Christ Study Books Set
After more than two years of development, we are excited to see the final books in the Commands of Christ series roll off the presses!
The Commands of Christ series is a set of seven study books focusing on 49 commands that Jesus gave. Each lesson includes an in-depth commentary, study questions, related names of God, a character quality and songs that amplify the command, questions and commitments for personal application, and a journal page for recording your own insights and progress as you incorporate Christ’s commands into your life.
How the Books Are Being Used
Chris Hogan’s Discipleship Group
The Commands of Christ series may be used in a group setting or as a personal study. Many groups across the United States meet each week to study and discuss applications of a specific command. Chris Hogan is an individual who is passionate about discipling other men and seeing them reach their full spiritual potential. He coordinates a group of 13 men who meet at 6 a.m. every Monday to study the commands. These men keep each other accountable in their spiritual growth by quoting Bible verses they have memorized to each other and taking turns leading the group.
Chris says, “The commands of Christ are so powerful in conforming us into His image—the image of a noble man prepared for the King’s service. The distraction and complexities of modern life have caused us as men to lose our focus and the solitude necessary to hear the clear wishes and plan of our Father in heaven. The commands of Christ bring us back to that which is necessary and eternal. As men focus on these commands they will once again find the fire that ignites a passion to live and die as noble men for Christ.”
