Giving the World a "New" Approach to Life!

Free in Christ!

Reflections on the 2013 Journeys to the Heart
It has been awe-inspiring this year to watch the light go on in the lives of many young people as they go on a Journey to the Heart. When they actually catch a glimpse of the true reality of an all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving God, their perspective of this life changes, never to be the same again. We rejoice in the goodness of our God and wonder at His faithfulness and grace!

"I experienced freedom from hatred and bitterness. As I drew closer to God, He gave me joy and peace. He spoke to me through His Word and showed me His care and His love for me as His daughter, His little girl." ~ Charity

"I came back home a different person. I came back home changed. I came back home broken. God seems to work in many different ways, but He has the same basic plan. He brings conviction of sin, causing you to cry out to Him, asking for His forgiveness. He changes your heart. God can’t change your heart until he breaks it, melts it down, and then forms it into what He wants it to be. But you also have to be willing to let Him mold your heart. That’s what He did to me. He broke my heart, and molded it into something new." ~ Ryan

"I wasn’t giving Christ my WHOLE heart. I was still holding onto bitterness and anger from past hurt feelings and very embarrassing times, as well as pride. God then told me it in the most loving comforting whisper, 'Let them go, and I will come for you.' I didn’t know what to do, so I gave in, and gave them up. I threw my bitterness, anger, and pride at the feet of Christ and instead He gave me His priceless peace. No matter what your situation may be, no matter how miserable you are; give your WHOLE HEART to Christ. He will set you free, and give you everlasting hope!" ~ Savannah

I was not experiencing true victory. I cried out for the Lord to really show me Himself, and God showed me that I was relying on my own goodness. My pride hurts Jesus because I am not trusting completely on His goodness. As I experienced total trust in Him with a broken spirit, God filled me with an amazing joy and sense of victory! Jesus has conquered evil, and I praise HIM for that. Satan has nothing on me! I know that I will falter and am not faithful, but HE IS, and I can cling to that FACT! I am in Christ, and He is truly amazing!
