God Gives the Increase

June 21, 2016

Praise the Lord, our Savior and King, because He is working in the people and the country of South Korea. Thank you for your prayers and support of the Kingdom of God.

“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour” (I Corinthians 3:6–8).

Our forerunners planted, and we are watering; sometimes we are planting and watering together, but in the end, it is the Lord Who gives the increase.

Last year in Busan City, a church hosted seminars for pastors and their wives. Around 100 pastors attended the seminars and many of these pastors decided to meet each week to pray and encourage each other to apply the principles of the seminar in their own lives. Many pastors repented of sin, and their marriages were restored. Several pastors also chose to pay off debts and stop focusing on building church buildings, but instead focus on discipleship. Not only were the pastors impacted, but they have taken the seminars to their own churches and congregations, and it is making a difference in the lives of their people.

Several churches in other cities have hosted Financial Freedom Seminars, and more are planned. Churches and families need freedom from financial bondage. At one Financial Freedom Seminar for trainers, two pastors and their wives had bitterness toward many people, and they asked God to bless their enemies with the needed character qualities. A university professor changed his plans to commit suicide and has chosen to tear up his prepared divorce papers. God is restoring families and strengthening families and churches.

Just last week, June 13–16, 2016, there was a special seminar for pastors in Busan City. Thirty-five pastors attended the Busan Pastors’ Seminar. One of pastors said that God used the Seminar to bring repentance in his life in the area of priorities. He realized that his priorities did not match up with what was important to the Lord. Other pastors were convicted that they were not in one accord with their wives and purposed to make it right.

Also in Busan City, a pastor who attended the Financial Freedom Seminar will be hosting a seminar for his church’s leadership team July 31–August 3, 2016. Please pray for revival in Busan City. Pray that God would guide us in building relationships with key people, and with churches, for ministering to the people of Busan City. A Financial Freedom Seminar for pastors is scheduled for the end of September.

Elsewhere it is exciting to watch the Lord moving among a church that had a seminar with 157 people in attendance. This church just completed another seminar June 13–20, 2016 which includes a seminar in English for about 200 English-speaking members. They have also scheduled a Seminar for men on Saturdays for 10 weeks.

Pastor Bae GukSoon and his wife have a burden to spread the message of the Word of God presented in these seminars. They would like to present a proposal to lead a group of pastors through the Financial Freedom Seminar, but Pastor Bae has laryngitis. Please pray for his healing, and for open doors of opportunity for the Lord’s Kingdom to be advanced.

Seeds have been planted in many cities including Uijeongbu City, ChungJu City, GwangJu City, Bundang, YeoSoo, and Anyang City. It is not about the seminars; it is the Lord who is working through His mercy and grace in Korea for His glory.

There is so much to be thankful to the Lord for, because He is alive and talks with us in everyday life. And He calls us to serve in His Kingdom for His glory. Thank you for supporting the work in South Korea through your prayers.
