March Young Ladies’ Journey

April 12, 2016

March 12-20, nine young ladies gathered in Northwest Arkansas at the beautiful Eagle Mountain Training Center for a “Journey to the Heart.” Each Journey is a unique and special opportunity for the participants to spend time with Jesus.

What a blessing it was to know that there was nothing we could do to change people or reveal Jesus to them! God the Father imparts that change and revelation in knowing Jesus. As team leaders, we saw our weakness in not knowing how to pray, but we also experienced the joy and peace of looking to Jesus Who ever lives to make intercession for us and letting Him pray and intercede through us for the young ladies. God saw and heard and in HIS time and HIS way, He answered our prayers, and we saw the young ladies being drawn to Him and longing to know Him more intimately.

“How silently, how silently, the wondrous gift is given, where God imparts to human hearts the blessings of His heaven.” God the Father allowed the team leaders of the March Young Ladies Journey to see God doing just that. So often His hand is invisible and He moves silently . . . in secret, yet He is still giving Himself and His Spirit as He always does, and especially to those who ask.

Our Father brought our hearts into agreement with His; we were so burdened to encourage the young ladies to take full advantage of their time there to seek the Lord’s face, and to turn away from the distractions of the world. And God was not far off! Those who seek Him, He promises, will find Him, if they search with all their heart. It was good to see God tearing down and destroying the false foundations and beliefs that we can be good in and of ourselves, or have a righteousness in ourselves making us acceptable to God, and replacing those beliefs with His TRUTH . . . that Jesus alone must be our hope, our confidence, our Life!

Some testimonies from the week:

• “This has been one of the best weeks of my life. I’ve learned so much on this Journey.”

• “Thank you for showing me a whole new gospel. (That gospel is ‘I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me’ [Galatians 2:20].)”

• “I have always heard that God loves me, but now I understand and realize that I need to believe that God loves me. I see now that I need to ask Him, not to help me, but to do His work in me.”

• “Why would I want to do anything that would hinder my hearing from God?”

All week, God, through His kindness, was leading each of the girls to repentance, opening up, confessing, and reconciling their relationships with their parents and their Heavenly Father. It is so exciting to have young people with a heart for the Lord. If you think of or know of someone who would be blessed by spending time with Jesus, you can visit www.iblp.org/journey to register for the next “Journey to the Heart.” Please pray for these young ladies as they continue in their walk with the Lord.
