Life in today’s modern culture can be crowded, overbooked, and fast-paced. Less than meaningful Bible reading may lead to God’s Word collecting dust on a shelf; unanswered prayers seem to have dead-ended at the ceiling; life itself can feel futile in a Christian culture where God is given just a few minutes in a twenty-four-hour day. Are you sensing a need to re-center your life?
Prayerfully consider a Journey to the Heart! A Journey is a potentially life-changing opportunity to refocus: to escape to a quiet place and to meet personally with Jesus – the One in Whom all things hold together.
A Journey is seven to ten days spent in a casual, retreat-style setting. There you can spend time with the Savior, alone and unhindered by the cares of the world. There is time to examine your own heart attitudes and time to commune with God, asking Him to create in you a clean heart (Psalm 51:10). The Journey is by no means a “magic pill” to every situation in life. However, if you are willing to pursue a living relationship with the God of the Universe – seeking Him with ALL your heart, soul, mind and strength – you will not be disappointed! “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8a).
Is a Journey for You? If you desire to deepen, strengthen, renew, or re-dedicate your relationship with the One Who lovingly created you, then a Journey may be something to consider. It doesn’t matter where you are in your spiritual journey. God knows, and His desire is to be with you. (See John 14:21, 23.) Journeys are available for men, women, mothers, fathers, as well as for young men and young ladies, ages 13 and older. Journeys for the 2016 season will be held in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The purpose of Journey is simply to provide a definite set-aside time and place to facilitate an opportunity for you to personally experience the reality of God!
