The 2018 Journeys have been scheduled! Some new Journey opportunities will be offered along with the usual life-changing Guys and Young Ladies Journeys.

The first American Thanksgiving celebration was held in the fall of 1621, after the Plymouth settlers had gathered in their first harvest. The feast, which lasted for several days, was a celebration of God’s goodness and provision for the little colony.

The theme has been selected. The speakers are being confirmed. Excitement is mounting as preparations continue for the 2018 Family Conferences

On November 11, 1918, the Axis and Allied troops signed an armistice that began at 11 o’clock in the morning. This marked the beginning of the end of WWI.

More than 950 people came to the campus in Big Sandy, TX, October 14–20 for an encouraging and relaxing week filled with enjoyable activities, Biblical messages, and blessed uplifting fellowship.

Since January of 2016, online character lessons corresponding with IBLP’s Biblical Character calendar have been available for free download at iblp.org/character. Now, the 2018 Biblical Character Illustrated Calendar has a children’s curriculum!

The first Church Journey to the Heart was held September 30–October 8, 2017. With a Church Journey to the Heart, the Journey staff travels to the host church. This first Church Journey was held in Burnet, Texas.

In Deuteronomy 6, God instructs parents to demonstrate His love to their children and teach His words diligently.

The 2017 Southern ALERT Cadet Leadership Training Corps (LTC) Camp was held in Big Sandy, TX, September 19-23. Nine fathers and sons gathered for the camp, and this year’s theme was "Rise Up, Men of God."

After Hurricane Harvey slammed into the Texas coast and stalled over Houston and Louisiana in late August, ALERT began assisting with clean-up and recovery efforts. Teams have gone to several locations in Texas.

The International ALERT Academy is getting ready for their annual fall Family Camp, held the week of October 14-20. Family Camp draws families from all across the United States.

More than 360 individuals gathered at the Green Lake Conference Center in Wisconsin from September 5–9 for this year’s fourth Family Conference.

On August 25, 2017, Hurricane Harvey made landfall along the Texas coast as a category 4 storm. Over the following days, Harvey dropped more than 21 trillion gallons of water—an amount equivalent to the water that flows over Niagara Falls in 321 days. Many places around Houston received as much rain in five days as they typically get in one year.

Quest has been described as the “perfect blend of summer camp and boot camp—lots of fun, but plenty of challenges along the way! (Response alarms, mud runs, night hikes—you get the idea.)” For four weeks this summer (from July 15 to August 11), 58 young men and 26 leaders participated in this intensive month-long program.

A Journey to the Heart is planned for September 23–October 1 in Big Sandy, Texas. We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for this upcoming Journey. Guys ages 13-30 are welcome to attend the Journey and will be staying in a house that is nestled on the 2,000+ acres of the extensive ALERT/IBLP campus.

The ATI Family Weekly is the new series being introduced on Embassy Media! We began producing the series two years ago, releasing a new video weekly. There are now over 100 messages to choose from, ranging from 15–30 minutes long and covering a wide variety of topics

Can you believe it’s been 10 years since the first Journey to the Heart? We thought this obviously called for a celebration of all that God has done through the years. 

After packing 7,500 pounds of equipment and luggage, a truck and trailer began the 1,846-mile trip from Big Sandy, Texas, to the West Coast for the annual Sacramento Family Conference, July 4–7.

Eighteen young men, ages ranging from 13–23, gathered with 5 leaders in Oak Brook, IL, and then the team traveled up to the Northwoods of Michigan for special time set aside for spiritual deepening in their lives.
