The International ALERT Academy is getting ready for their annual fall Family Camp, held the week of October 14-20. Family Camp draws families from all across the United States. The International ALERT Academy is currently preparing their campground and activities for more than 900 people to come and attend.
Family Camp is one of the outreaches of the International ALERT Academy, a non-profit ministry with the vision of “forging extraordinary men who influence their world for Christ.” This event is a time for the ALERT students and staff to serve and encourage families in the community and around the nation, giving them a memorable, action-packed vacation and the opportunity to fellowship with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
The theme this year, “Go Into All the World,” centers around the Great Commission and our responsibility as Christians to make disciples. Being welcomed at this event will be evangelists from around the world to share about their first-hand experiences overseas. Speakers include Keith Daniel from South Africa, Mike Schadt with SOS, author and speaker William “Bill” Federer, and Dr. Lew Sterrett, a Family Camp favorite. Not only will attendees be encouraged by their stories, they will gain practical tips on how to engage our culture with the glorious gospel of Christ.
