Are you ready to quit trying to do something for God and ask Him to do the impossible through you? Many of us tend to work in our own strength for God and may find ourselves unprofitable servants at the end of our lives. God wants to do the impossible in the power of His strength through us for His glory (see Luke 17:5–10.)
Put your full faith in God, not in your own efforts. There is one “impossible” task God especially wants you to join Him in doing. The time is now, and the task is eternal.
God longs for people to be saved. In John 4:35, Jesus said, “Look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” God has tremendous joy over a sinner who repents (see Luke 15:7, 10). This same joy empowered Jesus to endure the cross so that we might be saved (see Hebrews 12:2). This joy should motivate us to labor in His harvest. What if the person who led you to Christ had not labored for Him?
God is not willing that any should perish. Are we? Our inaction is often condemning on this point. So, what are we to do? God wants to “do” through us! We pray. We plant. We water. And God works through us to give the increase (see I Corinthians 3:6). This is not just an incremental change. This transforms someone from death to life. This gives them a new home address for all of eternity!
Be bold! Ask God how He wants to do the impossible through you. In our community, some started 5-Day Bible Clubs during the summer. Others invited unbelievers for a meal. One family created a website to point people to Jesus Christ.
Whom might God reach through you? Whether prayer-walking your neighborhood, preparing meals for a family who has lost a loved one, or hosting a baby shower for the new mom down the street, tell us how God is working through you. Let us join with you in prayer for those God desires to reach. You can contact us with your ideas or testimonies.
The possibilities are limitless, the impact immeasurable, and the rewards eternal! Let’s allow Jesus to work through us to change the eternal address of every unbeliever we meet.
