Institute in Basic Life Principles

Giving the World a "New" Approach to Life!

Announcement of Interim President

The Institute in Basic Life Principles, Inc. remains committed to the vision and purpose of the ministry to proclaim the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to help people understand and experience His ways of life. As the Institute goes through a transition, it is important to have a leadership team that can review the past, evaluate the present, and plan for the future.

To help in this transition, the Board of Directors has chosen Dr. Tim Levendusky to oversee the operations of the Institute, as interim president, until a new president is selected. Many supporters and friends of the ministry are familiar with Dr. Levendusky because of his many years of service with the ministry. He began as a staff committee coordinator and regional coordinator for the Basic Seminar and then served as the director for different training centers in the United States and abroad. For the last several years, Dr. Levendusky has managed the ministry’s international work in Mongolia and South Korea.

Tim Levendusky received his Ph.D. from the University of Toledo and was an assistant professor in the physical education department at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX before joining the Institute in 1991. In June 2004, he married his wife, Angie, and the Levenduskys have one son, Josiah, who is three years old.

Tim Levendusky’s heart is reflected in his statement, “I am happy to serve in whatever way I can for as long as desired.” The Board is very pleased that Tim is willing to work with the Institute staff during this important time. Tim is a true servant leader and a man of prayer. We all look forward to helping him and working with him.

Be assured of our prayers as you lead IBLP into the future.

Good Luck to him. May he have an open ear and open heart to the troubles being voiced by former students and staff. We arent speaking out in anger or in hatred, but to be heard and to tell our stories as we try to heal as well.
Dr L in the past was a person who seemed to have that open mind to hear us out, may he still be that same person now.

Excellent choice! I really can't even think of a better one... Dr. Levendusky loves God and loves people. He keeps his eyes on Jesus, which is the example we all need to follow. All the best to you, Tim & Angie!

I have known Dr. Levendusky for almost 20 years. Dr. Levendusky is a man who seeks the Lord and will do well in leading the Institute through this difficult time.
We will continue to pray for all involved. We thank God for the IBLP Ministry and will continue to support it. We look forward to what the Lord is going to do in the coming months with Dr. Levendusky at the helm!

Our prayers are with you, Tim, the Board, the Staff, and Bill. May our Lord bring His joy out of our tears, His strength out of our weakness, that Jesus Christ may be raised up among us, to the Praise of His Glory. Thank you for your work and your clear testimony.

I have known Dr Levendusky for over 17 years and even though we do not always agree in our understanding of Scripture he has been a good friend. He is more impeccable in character than anyone I have known. I will be praying for you Tim.

Our prayers are with Tim, Angie, and Josiah as you enter this important phase of ministry to advance God's kingdom. Know that your Costco friends will continue to uplift the Levinsky family from Korea.

Tim and Angie, praying for you and the wisdom that you will need to lead IBLP. I look back with great fondness on my years with the ministry, and the time spent with you, Tim as you mentored me as a new SCC in the seminar ministry. Seeing God's power changing lives, and hearing first hand people's testimonies of gratefulness for the teaching was a wonderful experience. I met many wonderful people through the ministry, and wish you all the best and you will have my full prayer support.

We cannot express the joy we feel in knowing this issue in the ministry will be resolved for the LORD. This is a time of cleansing and Dr. Gothard's responce is welcomed. As the ministry expands through television and internet it is vital there is not a whiff of evil. The Institute stands on the verge of greater service to Jesus Christ. The internet provides a way for millions to learn about IBLP, ATI and Embassy Institute. This public humilitation, humble repentance and restitution will be Dr. Gothard's greatest testimony, most noble model of Christian behavior in failure. We all fail and few know how to truly humble themselves and then continue to serve the LORD with all fervor. We pray for him and for God's will to be done. We thank God that He loves Dr. Gothard, the ministries of the Institutes and those who have been wronged. He only chastens those He loves.

Without any doubt the Lord Jesus has raised up Mr. Levendusky for such a time as this. Man's steps are ordained by the Lord, how then can he understand his way. But not only Mr. Levendusky, the serving Board members as well and all those He leads to join in the furthering work of building upon the foundation our Lord has already laid through Mr. Gothard and all who have served to this point. This is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. It is my prayer Tim and the Board have the wisdom to listen to all the distributed gifted people to whom God gives a word of wisdom, a word knowledge, faith, discerning of spirits etc. to build up the body of Jesus Christ multiplying disciples in every city of every country of our world. May we all believe the One who sits on the throne of grace is ready to do a new thing in giving the inhabitants of this world a "New" approach to life through His grace and mercy which are such, none can ever ask too much. The blessing of the Lord it maketh rich and added no sorrow with it. By this is our Father glorified that we go forth from here and bear MUCH fruit and so prove to be His disciples. The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.Ps.129:8
