“I am so grateful for prison… .” This unexpected statement came from a young woman who was given a new approach to life at a Basic Seminar in prison. She learned to accept the way God designed her; to understand God’s purposes for correction, provision, and protection through those in authority; and to take personal responsibility for her actions. She also learned to resolve destructive anger through the Anger Resolution Seminar.

Governor Mike Huckabee of Arkansas stated, “As a person who has actually been through the Basic Seminar, I am confident that these are some of the best programs available for instilling character into the lives of people.” A warden testified, “I would certainly recommend these seminars to any correctional or jail facility.”

Prison inmates attending a seminar

Many county, state, and federal facilities have requested that the instruction provided through the Basic, Advanced, and Anger Resolution Seminars be presented at their facility. Generous donors have made many of these seminars possible by providing scholarship funds for inmates who wish to attend a seminar. Hundreds of inmates have voluntarily asked to attend. Their gratefulness at the conclusion of the seminar for the truths that have been presented and for those who made it possible is truly amazing.

The videotape presentation of seminar sessions is coordinated by prison chaplains, IBLP staff, and local men who desire to minister in this way.
