Praise the Lord for open doors for Journey to the Heart to return to three prisons in March! The last time a Journey was held in prisons was February of 2020—right before COVID lockdowns made it impossible for volunteer groups to enter the prison facilities.
After a ten-year pause, the Excel program returned this year with sixteen young ladies in attendance. The ladies had classes in many topics, including nutrition, spiritual gifts, hospitality, sewing, hand lettering, first aid, and spiritual growth. Five weeks of in-person study was followed by five weeks of study at home. God worked mightily in each student, as the following testimonies reveal.
Engraft God’s Word Into Your Life
the importance of meditating on the Word of God
Have you experienced the futility of trying to produce spiritual fruit by your own efforts? If you redirect your energies to “engraft” Scripture into your life and meditate on it day and night, God’s Word will successfully bear good fruit in your life.
God’s Gift of Salvation
sin and judgment meet grace and mercy
Have you ever taken something that did not belong to you, told a lie, or envied someone’s possessions? What about hating another person or harboring a lustful heart? When we are honest, each of us will admit to doing wrong things.
