As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, let’s recall that there was a revelation that came before the revolution. It was the revelation of independence from sin and self through Jesus Christ that George Whitefield preached. This message of salvation paved the way for the other freedoms we enjoy. The message of the month for July is “Revival in Preaching” and is a dramatic presentation of George Whitefield by Pastor John Huffman. May this remembrance of God’s mighty working in the past stir us to faithfully share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Let’s pray that a great awakening will once again sweep across this country!
