Pastor Pope describes not only the physical pain and suffering that Jesus walked through on His way to the cross, but also the spiritual agony He experienced during the separation from His Heavenly Father.

Jesus willingly took the punishment that we deserved so that we could have peace with God and experience the hope and joy of everlasting life with Him. However, only those who receive Him as their Savior have this hope and joy.
