Bonus: “Restoring Relationships through Conquering Anger” with S.M. Davis

April 29, 2024

What does it mean to “be angry and sin not”? Is it even possible to get angry without sinning? In this episode, Dr. S.M. Davis expounds from scripture how acting out even in a little anger is never ok. The effects of anger in the home are devastating — causing breakdown in relationships and ultimately causing parents to lose their children’s hearts. Join Dr. Davis and Nate as they discuss where we must start in conquering anger and how to restore relationships that have been damaged by this stronghold.

We are so blessed to have Dr. S.M. Davis join us on this episode! A nationally known speaker, Dr. Davis speaks at churches and conventions across the United States, as well as in other countries. His ministry, Solve Family Problems, gives Biblical solutions to critical family and church dilemmas.

  • Nate Paine, Host

Nate Paine loves pointing people to God’s Word. After giving his life to the Lord at age 11, he has carried Isaiah 61:1–3 as his life verses, following God’s call to “preach good tidings unto the meek,” “bind up the brokenhearted,” “proclaim liberty to the captives,” and offer beauty for ashes through the Person and work of Christ. Nate completed his bachelor’s degree in Biblical Ministries, has served in prison ministry, and mentored many young men through the Journey to the Heart program. Today, he lives with his wife and four children in East Texas where he serves on staff with IBLP and the Home Discipleship Network. In his spare time, you may find Nate reading his favorite authors (Andrew Murray and A.W. Tozer), perfecting his pour-over coffee brewing, or adventuring with his children—preferably with fishing poles in hand.

  • S.M. Davis, Guest

Dr. S. M. Davis has served the Lord in many different areas of ministry since 1967. From 1975 to 2011 he served as pastor of Park Meadows Baptist Church in Lincoln, Illinois. He is now an associate pastor at Park Meadows with his primary focus being that of evangelism. A nationally-known speaker, Dr. Davis speaks at churches and conventions across the U.S. as well as in other countries. His messages give Biblical solutions to critical family problems, as well as help to foresee and avoid problems.
